Bullet Proof Gymwear

I have recently worked with Bullet Proof Gymwear to help them to create images for their website.  This company have both male and female clothing ranges.

For this shoot I used a studio room and lighting equipment in order to have full control of the light.  Using three lights I was able to remove any shadow that may have landed on the backdrop behind the model.

These images were also used by the company to create final images such as this:

Francesca Pina Handcrafted Fashion Jewellery

I have recently worked with Francesca Pina Jewellery, to create images that feature their handcrafted fashion jewellery.  I have completed several different shoots for this company, here are examples of the first.

On this location shoot the weather was awful.  Freezing cold temperatures and harsh winds made it difficult to shoot for long.  The poor models were freezing and I found it incredibly difficult to keep the camera still!!

Due to shivering, I decided to shoot using an automatic focus rather than manual as my fingers were numb and I found it increasingly difficult to judge the focus as my eyes were watering.  I really like the colours in these images and I achieved a bit of a washed out look by lowering the colour intensity of the original picture.

For these images, it was clear that the model was freezing so I airbrushed the final image with particular detail the model's arms and legs.  By air brushing her limbs I was able to hide goose bumps to ensure that the image was not restricted to 'winter collection'.  I paid close attention to her nose to make sure it was not red.

Winter Glamour

Here are some images I took this winter for indoor glamour.
I love this image.  I increased the contrast and colour intensity to show off the model's tattoos.

For this image I selected just the model's hair and increased the colour to make it even brighter and more eye-catching.

This images has achieved a lot of attention.  I increased the colour saturation and the contrast to show up the model's tattoos.

I particularly like this image.  I set the lights up to shine against the model's back.  By doing so, this helped to suggest that the model has a fuller rear figure and takes the light away from her front.  This therefore creates a tinier looking waste and a curvier figure.

Christmas Glamour

This Christmas I have enjoyed being a little more daring with a model I have worked with on a number of different shoots.  Now that I have developed a close relationship with this model, we decided to achieve a wintery look but with as much flesh as possible.
Believe it or not, the thing that catches my eye in this image is actually the model's stunning eyes.  Although her figure is breath-taking, by enhancing the colours in her eyes I tried to bring attention to her eyes and take it away from other areas.  I find when some photographers take images of girls with similar figures, the images very easily turn sleezy.  I tried to show off her figure in the classiest way possible.
This image is similar to the one above.  I have retouched the colour of her hair and eyes to again enhance them and try to take attention from her body to her face.

I LOVE this image.  We tried for quite some time to create an image that didn't look too silly due to the outfit.  In the end I decided to ask the model to lie on the ground.  I feel this is what made this image so successful as it took it from being potentially silly to Christmas glamour.

Winter Photoshoots

Here are some images I took this Winter:
For this image I tried to achieve a lighter and brighter look and I like how the light on her hat is so bright it makes it difficult to see the top.  By doing this I feel I created a cool, sexy but classy feel to the image.
I love this image.  I don't know why but it gives a 1970s early '80s feel which is why I thought it might look better in black and white, although I could have done it in colour and lowered the colour intensity or added pixels.  I like how close the image is to the model's face and I seem to be developing a preference to more detail and textures in my images.
For this image I like how the model is wearing a smart winter coat but with open boots.  I chose this outfit as sometimes I see images where it does not make sense for the model to be sitting on the ground in nice outfits.  I feel by adding the boots, it made the image more casual and authentic.  I like how the model is staring directly into the camera creating a more fashion rather than catalogue expression.  If that makes any sense.

Beach Shoot

Here are a few pics I took on the Cornish coast.  I tried to achieve a few different looks.
My favourite part of this image is the model's upper leg.  I have retouched the image to make her leg look extra smooth to create more of a hot sunkissed look (although it was spring time and freezing!)
Took me quite a few shots to achieve this image as I was waiting for the right wave to splash up against her.

This is one of my favourite images of all time.  I like the way the rope is tied around the model's arm.  I asked her to do this to try to incorporate the beam.  I wanted a hot 'sailor-like' look and I felt that by holding the rope this added depth to the image.

This is a longer view of this image.  I really like how the model has raised her right leg up to give her body more curves in front of a straight beam.

To create this image I used retouching methods to lower the saturation of the colours to create a softer image.
For this image I increased the contrast and saturation to give a sweatier look and to suggest a hotter temperature to the freezing spring weather the poor model had to pose in.

Lauren Goodger's 'Lauren's Way' 2011

This year I have had the pleasure of working with the Lauren's Way team, helping to promote The Only Way Is Essex's sensation Lauren Goodger's new fake tan and hair extension products.
As a photographer, I was required to take pictures of Lauren with her fans, signing posters and pictures for them.
While working at The Beauty Show in Hertfordshire, I had to adjust my camera and flash settings to ensure I let in enough light as the show was indoor so I took a lot of time to do a few practice shots.
Luckily one of the paps from the Daily Mail offered to take this pic for me on my camera... hence how I am in it lol
Was a really fun day!! Similar experience at the Essex Polo working with the team again.

Meeting Nicola Goodger was also a pleasure as well.
